Is it a coke, is it a watch…no it’s Superbrands!

For the first time, Rolex has topped the Consumer Superbrands index, leaving giants Google and Coca-Cola beneath them.

Administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis, the annual consumer brands survey lists the top 500 consumer and B2B brands in the UK. And it’s been a shock this year, with Microsoft plummeting out of the top 10, not to mention Apple also dropping to number 18!

It’s been good for British brands as John Lewis climbed into the top 20 and Marks & Spencer remained inside the top 20 places. Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of Superbrands Expert Council said: “It is notable that in these difficult times, we are reaffirming our faith in many traditional British brands.”
